Dear Valued Customers, Stakeholders and Partners
As COVID-19 spreads around the world, it has become our priority to implement measures to safeguard our stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, business partners and community) against contracting the virus and to mitigate the effects of this pandemic on our business as well as yours.
The measures we have implemented may impact the way we engage with you, but rest assured that we remain open for business and are committed to delivering you with the best service and product. We continue to be only a phone call or e-mail away.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of all our stakeholders is of paramount importance to us and we have instituted measures in line with recommendations made by the South African government as well as local and international health bodies.
Business Continuity
Afric Oil as a wholesale distributor and marketeer of fuel and other petroleum products is reliant on a combination of local refining companies as well as independent importers of finished products. We have closely engaged with all our key suppliers and we are confident that the entire supply chain will continue to function without disruptions. We are confident that our network will be able to support our customers during this period of uncertainty.
Personnel, where not involved in depot and transport operations, have been empowered with the tools to work remotely to ensure supply is not interrupted and that all our orders are fulfilled per our Service Level Agreements.
Logistics
Afric Oil has a working relationship with multiple logistics companies that are ready to assist should there be challenges experienced with any particular logistics partner. We will appreciate your prompt notification of any issues that might be experienced during the course of service or supply, so we can action contingencies immediately.
Travel
To protect the health of our stakeholders and society as a whole, we have put a hold on all non-essential local, national and international business travel.
Social Distancing
We are strongly discouraging in-person meetings and instead, we asking our teams to engage with you via telephone, e-mail and video-conferencing. Our employees will work from home where possible to further limit the chances of interaction and potential infection.
To you, and our other stakeholders, we extend our thanks for your empathy and support during this rather difficult time. We express our gratitude to everyone on the ground, taking serious risks and working tirelessly to keep us all safe.
We will continue to monitor developments, potentially adjusting our strategy as needed and ensure that our customers remain informed at all times.
Please take care and stay safe.
Ahlben Phillipus
Managing Director, Afric Oil Group
